Another new feature is the so called Norton Performance System, which takes care of your computer's performance by tracking the usage of processor and memory. This new version of Norton Antivirus still includes the so called "Silent Mode", a special mode that temporarily disables alerts and other background activity, perfect for those moments in which you need to really concentrate on work.
Other interesting features in the new Norton Antivirus 2010 are Norton Tasks, with which you can keep track of the app's current jobs and pending tasks, and Application Ratings, which performs customizable scans on your system and informs you on the trust level of each element.
The interface appearance in Norton Antivirus 2010 has only been slightly changed in comparison to the previous beta version. The main window in Norton Antivirus offers a general overview of the system's current security status and includes links to the program's main functions, as well as to the configuration settings for each secured area: computer and network.
